Wood Badges were presented to Adam Allan, Rachel Buttar and Alison Fulton after three years of hard work. Christopher Allan was awarded his Young Leader belt by Katy McClement for his work at the Beaver Colony. There were a variety of badges for the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts as well, whether activity, challenge or the top Chief Scouts Awards badges.

This evening Craig Buttar stepped down as Section Leader of the Scouts. Craig built the Troop up to 36 members through a programme of fun and adventure, whether through the monthly Zodiac camping, Auchengillan Jamborette or within The Bield learning Scouting skills, whether pioneering, cooking or map and compass. As Craig stepped down to be an assistant Leader Adam Allan stepped up to become the Scout Troop Leader, supporting Adam as an assistant Scout Leader.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
