Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping, hillwalking and archery. Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp.

The Troop offers the Zodiac Award which is camping a minimum of one night a month throughout the entire year, this along with national camping opportunities as well as the Group indoor weekend in March every year when all four Sections stay at Lapwing Lodge.
The Troop meets on a Friday night between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
